Move a date forward or backward
Choose a starting date and a direction, then enter whole numbers of years, months, weeks and days. Zero is allowed. The result shows both the final date and its weekday.
How the result is calculated
Years and months are combined into one calendar-month offset. If the original day is unavailable in that month, we use the last valid day. Weeks and days are applied after that offset.
Worked example
31 January 2025 plus one month is 28 February 2025. Plus one month and one day is 1 March. Adding two months at once gives 31 March. These are calendar conventions, and a formal deadline can apply additional rules.
